This was a clothing store from 1916 to 1981. It was located at the Polish Triangle on Milwaukee, Division and Ashland. All that remains now is the original storefront.

At the Palmer House
The Palmer House Hilton is an historic hotel in downtown Chicago. It was Chicago’s first hotel with elevators, and the first hotel with electric lights and telephones in guest rooms. It was closed temporarily in March 2020 due to COVID, but reopened in June 2021. It was built in 1870 but was destroyed by the Great Chicago Fire in 1871. A new larger Palmer House was built in 1875 with more space and more ornate details. The Third Palmer House is the one that stands today at 17 E. Monroes Street. t was built in 1925 by architects Holabird & Roche and Richard Neutra.
