Last week I walked around the Uptown area of Chicago. I used to attend Truman College there many decades ago, but have been there in awhile. I really enjoyed seeing the iconic theaters like the Riviera and the Uptown and I didn’t know about Margate Park and Asia on Argyle. I hope you enjoy the photos of Uptown !
The Hubbard Street Murals are located along the 900 block of West Hubbard Street. They began as a project by students in 1971. And are now being enjoyed by the current generation.

The Wisconsin State Capitol is located in Madison. The Capitol building was completed in 1917. It’s actually the fifth Capitol building. It is the tallest building in Madison and houses the Wisconsin legislature, Supreme Court and Governor’s office.
Welcome to Madison Wisconsin! Madison is the Wisconsin State Capital and a truly beautiful city. You will enjoy Madison wether you’re strolling around downtown or a neighborhood, or visiting the University of Wisconsin campus or visiting the capital building, or taking in an art gallery. I got so many great photos of Madison, so I’ll show them in a few different posts.
The Jackson Junge Art Gallery is located at 1389 N. Milwaukee Avenue in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. I really enjoyed visiting the gallery and will definitely return. It is a very welcoming art space!
The Congress Theater building is located on Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square. It was built in 1926. It is a Chicago landmark currently under renovation. The theater block contained 17 retail storefronts which are now murals.
